The Chief Electrical Inspector for Nova Scotia has granted a deviation allowing the resumed installation of our flooded & AGM batteries in residential energy storage applications. This is good news for NS installers and for new off-grid homeowners seeking affordable lead-acid battery options for their off-grid or backup system.
A full list of applicable Rolls flooded and AGM batteries has been added to the approved equipment database for the NS Power inspection team to streamline the process.

For inspection approval, a Deviation ES74 form must be completed.

- NS Power will send a deviation application already pre-populated with the technical information and the only aspects needed from the applicant is (Contact Information, Permit #, Location of the work, and applicant signature)
- The completed deviation will be kept on file for the site.
